In the lower level Tim has finished constructing all the external window hoods and has now installed these. This week he will be busy finishing off the second fix stage which includes the placement of all the door and window architraves as well as skirting boards in each of the rooms. Tim will also have the cupboard under the stairs finished.
Upstairs Rob and Lachy are also at second fix stage which has included matching the existing timber feature pattern on the ceiling. They have almost completed the stairwell work with just the handrails to be installed including handrail on the top of the partial wall in the lounge / dining room.
The before photo above of the lounge / dining room shows the old archways, the original smaller room size and how dark this area was. The after photo shows the now much larger room, all the extra light and ventilation from the two now matching windows and large Bi-fold door.
This week the second fix stage will be finished on both levels of this renovation and extension project and work will begin on the new driveway and carport. So the office mouse will have plenty to photograph in the next exciting installment of this blog page!
